Cybersecurity Engineer

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will design and implement security solutions, identify and mitigate threats, and help build resilient environments across cloud, applications, networks, and enterprise infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen our security posture and protect critical applications, infrastructure, networks, and data from evolving cyber threats.

You will work closely with engineering, cloud, DevOps, IT, and security teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls, monitor threats, and respond to security incidents. The role requires a strong understanding of modern security practices and the ability to translate security requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration-testing activities.
  • Monitor security events and investigate potential threats and incidents.
  • Develop and improve security monitoring, detection, and response processes.
  • Implement and manage security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF, and vulnerability-management platforms.
  • Secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Implement identity and access management, authentication, authorization, and least-privilege controls.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to address application and infrastructure security risks.
  • Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation activities.
  • Develop security standards, policies, procedures, and technical guidelines.
  • Perform security reviews of applications, infrastructure, APIs, and cloud architectures.
  • Support security audits, compliance requirements, and risk assessments.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and security technologies.
  • Mentor junior security engineers and contribute to security best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat models, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint security.
  • Hands-on experience with security monitoring and SIEM platforms.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and management.
  • Understanding of IAM, authentication, authorization, encryption, and access-control mechanisms.
  • Experience securing at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows security fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF, vulnerability scanners, and security assessment tools.
  • Experience with scripting using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of incident response and security operations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
